A Major Accomplishment

In between the rain storms of the last couple of weeks, Michael has been working very hard to figure out how to ride his bike. He's accomplished it! He asks most everyday to go outside to ride "real fast like Bubba". Thanks to my friend Karlee's little boy "Bubba", Mikey figured it out.
Of course, Daddy told him when he learned how to pedal he could get a big boy bike. So over the last couple of days each time we go run errands he's asking if we're getting his big boy bike... uhhh no. Not yet.  :)

Valentines Party

This week we kicked off Valentine's Day with an all-day playdate/party with some good friends. Melinda drove up from San Diego, Danelle and Lauren brought their kiddos over for a total of 11. Oh what fun it was!

Danelle brought a cute craft for the kids, Melinda brought cupcakes to decorate and we mostly spent the day eating, talking, laughing and breaking up a few arguments.  Mikey has sort of a love/hate relationship with Kate (who he's seated next to in the 1st picture). Kate is a girl with her own set of rules and opinions- Mikey loves when she comes over- but hates that she won't listen to him :)  He'll one day need a very easy-going, go with the flow kind of girl.  In the meantime- they'll be good friends.

I was completely exhausted by the time everyone left after dinner- just ask Phillip- I crawled in bed around 8pm! I can't wait to have my energy back :)

Kate saying thank-you to Mikey for her Valentine's Cards and candy- Michael saying your welcome:

Gotta love sprinkles and cupcakes- they waited all day to do this.  With no naps all day (each of our children nap) we figured we'd wait till the meltdowns began and we could overload them one final time with sugar!

Happy Valentines Day

I saw a cute post on a friend of mines blog for Valentines Day- so here goes-

Write down 14 reasons why you love & appreciate your spouse this Valentines Day.  So here's my post to Phillip, after 6 years of marriage here's a few reasons why I love and appreciate you:

1- You can always make me laugh
2- You're a great daddy- you get better every day
3- You know how to say I'm sorry
4- You work very hard every day to provide for us
5- You're always willing to help out with the boys
6- Sometimes you smell nice :)
7- You make funny jokes
8- You take me the way I am- always spilling something on myself and always forgetting something
9- You love your family
10- You are a loyal friend, not just to me, but to others as well
11- You're a photoshop pro
12- You always kiss me hello and goodnight

It's a.....

Sorry- I've got to many places to update that I forgot all about the blog!

It's a BOY.... yes... he has a weiner.  Why does my womb refuse to create, carry or grow anything but weiners?  I just don't get it :)

But really- I am actually excited- nothing to paint- nothing to stress about re-decorating. And honestly, I think my sister-in-law Lindsay was more disappointed than me!

Brothers

This morning I decided it was about time to take Samuel's 6 month pictures. Ok- I know- he's 7 month's but what does that matter, right?

Anyway- I didn't get everything I wanted, but I figured I would do some of the same poses I did with Mikey when he was 3 month's. I'm seeing some slight similarities between the two of them now, same brow's, same eyes and same noses.  I didn't realize when I was taking this, it's the exact position I had Phillip hold Mikey in.

Here's the one I'm talking about- un-edited- converted to B&W.

Here's Mikey (and his toupee :) at 3 months old. Wow- I still remember that little face, then again I don't think you ever really forget them do you?

The countdown begins

After a very llllooooonnnnngggg waiting to see about appointments, referrals, more appointments etc, we're finding out on Monday what we're having. :)

I am: excited, nervous, anxious and happy.  I told Phillip the other day that I'm very torn- I'd love to have a sweet little Sophia, but having 3 boys would be a blast.  Seeing the boys together always makes me smile- so we'll have to see what the Lord's decided. I'm very grateful I don't have to make the decision!

Check back Monday night

Samuel say...

This afternoon I was feeding Samuel his "dinner" and he started babbling.  So I tell him, "Samuel say momma, momma, say momma".
Mikey comes up next to him in the highchair and says, "Samuel say MMMMMIIIKKKEEYYYY."  Very slowly so his brother could understand him.

It's the little things that make my momma heart smile.
