Preschool

It's hard to believe that in 3 days, Michael will start preschool. I'm totally going to be that Mom crying as I walk out of his classroom. Not because I'll miss him, (that sounds worse than I mean it) but because it seems like just yesterday he looked like this:

And it seems like just yesterday I used to give him a bath like this:
And it seems like just yesterday Phillip would walk around with him like this:

Nowadays, he smiles like this:
And doesn't let me forget that he's 3, going on 4 years old:
And he likes his picture taken, to get himself dressed, to help me with the little boys, he likes to watch Noggin, and much to my dismay Yo Gabba Gabba.
He also likes to curl up in his daddy's chair and read books. So excuse me while I sit for a moment and just take it all in. I know preschool is really just the beginning and that it's only 2 days a week. But to me, it also means that he's growing up, that there will come a day that he won't fit sideways in his daddy's chair. Just like he doesn't fit on his daddy's forearm anymore. {sniff...sniff} I guess he's growing up.

Fun in July

Besides having a baby in July- we've been doing all the other normal summer stuff. So this post is mostly about the other stuff, which includes the boys hanging out and playing, Joshua growing, swimming, the beach, Samuel's birthday etc.

Here's Mikey holding his new baby brother. Which makes me think of this: I can't believe how big he's getting. Mikey that is. It seems like just yesterday I was teaching him how to crawl, then walk, then run, then talk. {sigh} He starts preschool in a couple of weeks and it reminds me to slow down and take it all in. Before I know it he'll be starting his freshmen year and I'll long for days like today when he comes up to me, throws his arms around me and states: "I love you momma"

I love this next picture- it sums up Samuel's personality quite well. He's a lover, not a fighter. :) Every morning he kisses mommy, daddy and Mikey. Seriously. He snuggles, he hugs, he's so lovey dovey- and I LOVE it. It makes my day.

Speaking of Samuel, my little lovey dovey turned one the day I had Joshua. I'm coming to terms with the fact that they share a birthday. We had a huge party planned that we had to reschedule for the following week. Mikey helped me make Samuel's individual cake, Mikey requested lots of sprinkles and frosting.
Here's the birthday boy with his Papa- I found the cutest onesie that said "My first birthday". I'll put it in his memory box since it doesn't fit him anymore :( It's a 12 month outfit, we still call him chubby-bubby.

Samuel had a blast at his party- he was surrounded by lots of people who love and adore him. It's such a blessing to have friends that adore your children as much as you do.

Oh- and we've also been doing LOTS of this:
Gotta be the best $11 I've ever spent.
